Bell’s Week

Looking cool in her shades….          This eating thing…some days yes, some days no.

And this, be still my heart!  She hates the gait trainer.  I’m not sure hate is a strong enough word.  But we pulled it out again and she did it.  She walked with it!  maybe it’s because we took her outside and onto the dangerous street.  But whatever!  She took steps with the gait trainer! Awesome!

Getting used to tagging along.  With nursing hours cut, she is getting hauled to more and more “normal” places.  Headed to the orthodontist….

Visiting a nursing home to carol with the family.  I love that she can come and just be another member of the family.

Playing with her cousin            Watching her sister and cousins decorate cookies – she held the sprinkler container, that was her contribution, but she was there!  Wonderful!

Bella’s Fortnight

Due to a technical glitch, I bring you two weeks of Bella’s life.

Going out to eat with her parents and grandparents. 

She loves to have her skin stroked (thank you OT – she couldn’t STAND it for the first 3 years of her life!)  PT said she was just happy Bella was standing (leaning, really)!

Eating – how I want this little girl to eat!  Since Brother is eating puffs, they are cool – so cool in fact, that she dumped the whole container on the floor! :)

We are working with Bella on drinking with a straw.  I tried.  OT tried.  Nothing.  Sammi interrupts us with “Bella can drink through a straw.”  Show us I say.  She hands Bella the cup and presto, magic, Bell does it, but only for Sammi!  Sammi you are awesome!

We took her to PetSmart – she loved it!  So many animals to stare at!  Reading with sister.

Music therapy

Because we are going to be gone to Iowa for Christmas, some of the big presents get to opened early!  Introducing Joy, Bella, and Alex’s new turtle filled with beans.  So fun!

How we entertain ourselves while we wait and wait and wait for doctors.  We’ll make a video and then watch it and watch it, then repeat.

While I got ready for the girl’s piano recital, I put Bella in front of my dinner bowl with Daddy watching her.  She took the bait!  If we could just get her to take more than a few bites!
