With her knee surgery a couple of days before Halloween, Bella wasn’t able to trick or treat.

She loved the card her class sent home for her!

She should walk!

Today was the long awaited second knee surgery on Miss Bella.
When her surgeon came out, she was so confident.  "She should walk", she told me.
Walk - no wheelchair.
Walk - that means she can dance!
Walk - free, totally free!
Walk!

Bell, today as we sit in yet another hospital room, me with my microwavable meals and freezing to death, and you with your ipad, I'm just in awe. You did it, little one.  One by one, you have checked off each of the issues giving you problems.  Nothing stops you.  So it's taken seven years, so what? You are amazing to me, little one!!

May you heal quickly and finally be able to jump and run!

Eye Doctor

So the doctor told us today that Bella needs to wear her glasses all the time, no longer when she is doing close work.  The prescription will help relax those muscles (decrease the crossing) and magnify things she sees (like in class work).  He also felt that she would like wearing them.  I did my best to keep a straight face.  Let the battle begin!
