A while back Jason and I listened to a show where the guest shared that the number of people waiting in the ER’s waiting room for the patient had a direct correlation to how the patient fared.
We figure that this blog is our door between the craziness here at the hospital and all of y’all so kindly supporting us out there in the waiting room of cyber space.
So today I have a strange request. If you feel comfortable doing so, would you leave me a comment today? Just your first name would be fine. With everything going on right now, I’d love to know how many are out there waiting for Bella.
*In case you don’t know how to leave a comment, click on the word COMMENTS just below here and next to the date and time of this post. Write your comment in the box, then click on the little circle in front of the word Anonymous, then click the orange box that says Publish Your Comment.*
Thank you.

Hi Shelly,
I am here everyday and I know that many at SMMC follow because we always say to each other "Did you see today's picture?" or "a new update just got posted" so I would count me as several people.
On another note my advice to you: don't let Arabella know about Friday's discharge.Somehow when you say it in front of the patient it doesn't happen.
I can't believe how big she is getting.~ Ann
Thinking and praying for you and your family, always!

I'm not ever sure how we originally got your blog, probably aunt Sandy. But we have been following Arabella's story faithfully hoping and praying for the best for you and your family. This is Chris and Michele Southwick (Wanless - Sandy Turpin's brother - is Chris' father.) Hope that makes sense. You have lots of love and faith coming from places you don't even know!!
Sarah and her mom Joyce checking in everyday. Bella sure is a beautiful little fighter.
I some how found your blog a while back from the reeces rainbow site. Your little Bella is precious! I pray she heals soon!

I agree with Ann...please let Arabella be the last to know she is going home!!!!!! I remember the joy I felt calling you to let you know Bella was being discharged from SMMC :) xoxoxo Nurse Maureen
Wow !!!!! At 7:56 AM this morning, I was already leaving Madison Wisconsin headed for Milwaukee and Chicago, then home to the Quad Cities. I checked the blog about 6:30 this morning just in case you had something out there. Nothing. Now I am home after a very long day, and checked the blog and there are 32 comments to this blog. It will be a nice evening of reading while OMA is at Relief Society Social. I am so happy that Bella is doing well. Just so you know, my new boss that I have been with all week has a granddaughter the same age as Joy that is Down. He told me this week that they have a Prayer Roll at his church and Bella has been on it since the day of her surgery. I told him that we really appreciate Baptist Prayers.
Love ya,
OPA
I love you, Shelly. Hang in there! You will be home soon! You guys will continue to be in our prayers.
Love,
Donna
